This data is compiled with respect to the "severity" hierarchy established by the Chief Probation Officers of California, therefore, individuals​​​ who are supervised in multiple populations are only categorized into one of four supervision populations: Post-Release Community Supervision (PRCS),    ​Mandator​y ​Supervision (MS), Felony Probation, or Non Felony Probation.
