A juvenile who was on probation is back in custody after Sacramento County probation officers spotted the youth brandishing a gun on social media.

The officers subsequently conducted a probation search and seized several hundred dollars in cash along with more than 70 Xanax bars, or pills, according to a Probation Department Twitter post. The Xanax, an anti-anxiety drug, was estimated to have a street value of more than $500.

The juvenile was booked into the county's Youth Detention Facility on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance for sale. The Probation Department reported that the firearm was not located.
