In response to WIC 749.22, The County of Sacramento established the Juvenile Justice Coordinating Council (JJCC). The purpose of the JJCC is to oversee the development and implementation of a continuum of county-based responses to juvenile delinquency and to set priorities for the use of grant funds. The JJCC Board develops a comprehensive multi-agency juvenile justice plan that identifies resources and strategies for providing an effective continuum of responses for the prevention, intervention, supervision, treatment, and incarceration for youths, including strategies to develop and implement community-based placement options for youth who are defined in Welfare and Institutions Code Section 602.
